After my frame was repaired in Ontario, I made an appointment to get some adjustments done in Montreal by a local 4x4 fabricator. My only form of contact was through FB and I showed up after dropping carl off at the airport. He was busy and told me to come by around 7pm. That night, I helped him clean his shop and take pictures of his work space. We listened to music and drank a massive cup of rum and coke. That night I slept outside in front of his shop with half the van dismantled. The next morning, he welded on some custom made bump stops that were CNC laser machined, Installed new shocks and tweaked my front swaybar set up so I had less of a death wobble. Nothing about this guys shop was ordinary and everything he made was completely custom. Seeing his handy work was beyond impressive. If you are in Canada and need help, check out Frog Fab.
I had no idea Quebec had hidden gems like Acropole des Draveurs just outside of Quebec City. Its a great place to rock climb and see glacier carved valleys.
Looking for more adventure, I checked out Mont St-Michel in Parc national des Grands-Jardins for a quick but strenuous up hill battle.
From here, my goal was to drive 138 all the way to the dead end in Labrador but already running tight on time, I decided to check out Gaspé in Parc national de la Gaspésie which is a nice little coastal town. Great for a date night if you aren't alone.
