My route will start in Columbus, Ohio and head north east. Once I finally hit Nova Scotia, I will take a ferry over to Newfoundland which is where the real fun starts. I have been eyeing Gros Morne National Park, ever since I accidentally clicked on it randomly 2 years ago on google maps. I can't begin to believe that a place like this exists so I have to see all of it for my own eyes. From there, I will take a ferry back to the main land and venture north till the road stops. I will unload my kayak and paddle into the Mealy Mountains. After a couple of days its back on the road through Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and up into the Northwest Territories. It has become pretty obvious a lot of the parks up north involve flying into so there will be numerous plane rides into the wilderness if all things go as planned. After going up into the Arctic Circle a couple of times, it's time to head south and back east on my route home. Here is where there are a lot more accessible parks and unique landscapes. Once making my way into the states, I have always wanted to check out the UP of Michigan so I figured why not stop by.
